Lois Estelle Seagle Kirby, 85, wife of the late Robert Lee Kirby, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Valley Falls Terrace. Born November 8, 1936, in Cowpens, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel Thomas and Blanche Mize Seagle.
Mrs. Kirby owned and operated an upholstery company. She was a member of Gospel Baptist Church where she was very active with the children in the church. Her most important role in her life was being a wife and mother to her family.
Survivors are daughters, Robin Kirby-Ivey (Michael) of Spartanburg and Jackie Bible (Todd) of Union; a son, James Craig Kirby (Stacy) of Cowpens; a brother, Ken Arthur Seagle (Sylvia) and a sister, Shirley Hammett of High Point; a granddaughter, Nichole Bible Prikhodko (Denis) of Clifton; two grandsons, Nathaniel Ethan Bible (Savannah) of Spartanburg, Thomas Lee Kirby, Jr. of Cowpens and a great grandson, Nathan Kirby; a niece, Renee S. Annis and a nephew, Kenny Seagle and Bingo, her special companion friend. Mrs. Kirby was predeceased by sons Daniel Adolphus Kirby, Thomas Lee Kirby, Mark Hershel Kirby, and Brian Stacy Kirby and a brother-in-law, John Hammett.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Daniel Morgan Memorial Park conducted by Rev. John Lee. Visitation will be at the graveside after the service. Covid-19 protocol requiring masks and social distancing should be followed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaumont Baptist Church, 945 Beaumont Avenue, Spartanburg, SC, 29302.
