Lois Funderburk

Lois Louise Duncan Funderburk, 98, of Rossville, GA, died Sunday, November 8, 2015, at Parkside at Hutcheson Medical Center-Rossville. Born February 26, 1917, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Roy and Essie Irene Bishop Duncan and widow of William Albert Funderburk. Mrs. Funderburk was a member of First Baptist Church of Newberry, SC and the retired owner, an artist and teacher at The Art Box in Newberry. Surviving are her sons, Tommy Funderburk of Charleston, SC and Dr. W. A. Funderburk, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter-in-law, Pat Felmet of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Ray Felmet; and sisters, Mildred Duncan Janicula and Nell Duncan Burn. Family members conducted a private cryptside service at 11:30 AM Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
