Lois Anthony

Lois Davis Anthony "Peach", 90, of Spartanburg, SC, lost her long brave battle with Alzheimer's on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Lois was born in Earl, NC on December 14, 1924 to the late Lamar and Loujesta Borders Davis. She was a graduate of No. 3 High School in Shelby, NC and National School of Commerce in Charlotte, NC. She was a charter member and served the Lord at Cudd Memorial Baptist Church and as a member of Peach Valley Baptist Church. Lois worked with her husband Jack at Columbia Supply until they retired in 1988. Lois lived her life devoted to her husband of 69 years, the late Jack Anthony and her four daughters, Carole A. Blevins, Connie A. McDowell (Bill), Anita A. Moon (Michael), and Janet A. Horton and their families. She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, and being the best grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 10. She is survived by her sister Johnnie D. Sherwood of Vero Beach, FL and her brother Joe K. Davis of Loveland, Colorado. She was predeceased by a brother Don M. Davis of Earl, NC.
