Lizzie Hayes

Lizzie Belle Dillard Hayes, 92, of Pacolet, died Monday, October 24, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born August 28, 1919, in Pacolet, she was the daughter of the late Perry Lester and Fannie Belle Kirby Dillard, and loving wife, for over 60 years, of the late Harold Wallace Hayes. Mrs. Hayes was a member of Pacolet United Methodist Church and the Women's Sunday School Class. She was a delivery volunteer for Mobile Meals Service and a former employee of Arrow Automotive. Throughout her lifetime Lizzie loved, served, encouraged, and blessed everyone she met. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Hazel McBride and Nelene Robinson; and brothers, Curtis, Leon, Lester, Lloyd, Russell, and Sam Dillard. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2011, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Pacolet United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Dillard. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304. The family is at her home.
