Lisa McGraw Williams, 57, finished her earthly race and met Jesus face-to-face on December 31, 2023, in Spartanburg, SC. She was born on June 1, 1966, to the late Ernest Eugene McGraw and Sarah Frances Jones McGraw.
Lisa was a woman of faith and family. Her roles as a loving wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend defined her existence and brought great joy to everyone who knew her.
Her genuine warmth and outgoing nature meant she never met a stranger. She had the remarkable ability to make anyone feel comfortable and at ease in her presence. She loved to tell stories and possessed a great sense of humor that would brighten anyone’s day. Lisa firmly believed that it was not just about the number of years lived but how one lived those years. (1966 - 2023) Lisa made her “dash” count.
Lisa had many loves, all of which involved her family and friends. She loved vacationing to the beach, spending the summer by the pool surrounded by a yard full of beautiful flowers, and sitting around the kitchen table playing cards.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 18 years, Tracy Williams, her daughters, Shelby Baird (Justin), of Longview, TX, and Emily Catherine Williams of Woodruff, SC, her beloved grandchildren, Camilla and Theodore Baird, and her sister and best friend, Gina Bridges (Dwight), of Duncan, SC. Lisa is also survived by numerous extended family members, loyal friends, and her sweet puppy and companion, Winston.
The visitation will be on January 5, 2024, from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM at Crossroads Baptist Church, 130 Conway Black Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
A service celebrating Lisa's remarkable life will follow the visitation at 12:00 PM at Crossroads Baptist Church. The Rev. Rich Lancaster, Rev. Brent Dowis, and Chaplain Craig Mathis will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Spartanburg Regional Foundation - Gibbs Research Lab Fund or Crossroads Baptist Church.
Her family and friends find hope in knowing Lisa is with her Savior and Lord. May we honor her life and memory by never missing an opportunity to be kind to those that cross our paths, to cherish the moments with those we hold close, and to never lose sight of the importance of laughter – this is how she made her “dash” count.
Her love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends will forever be remembered as a beacon of light in our lives.
