Lisa Mathis

Lisa Lynn Gibson Mathis, 41, of Cowpens, SC, died Thursday, August 11, 2011, at her home. Born April 26, 1970, in Union, she was the daughter of Freddie Gibson of Spartanburg and the late Linda Lingerfelt Gibson. Lisa was a homemaker and loved her family very much. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Clinton Ray Mathis; a daughter, Lindsey Rae Mathis; a son, Clinton Ray Mathis, Jr.; one grandchild, Addison Lane Harvey; a sister, Denise Gibson Rose; and a brother, Keith Gibson, all of Spartanburg. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2011, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Quail Drive, the Bishop Matthew Cox, presiding and Steve Mathis, speaker. Visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lisa Mathis Memorial Fund, PO Drawer 1530, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
