Linda Thornton

Linda Ann Lemons Thornton, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 21, 1940, in Whitney, SC, she was the daughter of the late Marion Arthur Lemons and Laura Faye Robinson Lemons and widow of Gerald Thornton. Mrs. Thornton loved to cook, crochet, and garden, but most of all she loved her family and pet dachshund. She was a member of Beaumont United Methodist Church and retired from Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Survivors include her children, Richard Hatchette of Whitney, SC and Robin Mickles (Todd) of Livermore, CA; two grandchildren; sister, Judy L. Brewington (Raymond) of Spartanburg, SC; and nephew, Mark Brewington of Spartanburg, SC. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
