Linda Allison CPS, 62 of 9085 Fairforest Road, died Friday, June 25, 2010 at her home. Born March 26, 1948 in Fort Benning, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Leonard and Helen Klinker Staley. She was a member of Tyger River Presbyterian Church; a member of the Next Step Sunday School Class; the Church Alter Guild; and very active with the Carpenter's Table Food Pantry and the Presbyterian Women. She was a member and served two terms as President of the Spartanburg Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), a former President of the SC Division of IAAP, a former President and member of the Spartanburg County Legal Staff Professionals, former President of Greater Spartanburg Republican Women and Queen of the Palmetto Red Hatters of Spartanburg. She was a former employee of Spartan Mills, Inc. and retired from the law firm of Johnson, Smith, Hibbard and Wildman. Survivors include her husband, Don Allison, a step son, Donald James Allison both of Murrells Inlet and special best friends Brenda Staselavage, Dorothy Pierce, and Bertha Flynn. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Tyger River Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Douglas D. Cushing. The family will receive friends following the service. The family requests that memorials be made to the Carpenter's Table Food Pantry, 5961 Reidville Road, Moore, SC 29369.
