Lillie Allie Pettit Skinner, 89, of Woodruff, SC died Friday, February 19, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born in Walnut Grove, SC on April 5, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John Lewis and Goldie Strange Pettit and wife of the late Harold Eugene Skinner Sr. A graduate of Roebuck High School, Mrs. Skinner was a bookkeeper for Winn Dixie Grocery Store. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and was over the social hall and kitchen. Survivors include her children, Harold Eugene Skinner Jr. (Martha) of Woodruff, SC, Angela Rucker (Rev. Matthew) of Gaston, SC and Johnny Skinner (Rita) of Woodruff, SC; grandchildren, Harold Eugene "Buddy" Skinner III (Lynne), Amy Jo Skinner Workman (Rett), Jessica Skinner Sims (Justin), Johnathan Manning Skinner, and Rachael Rucker; six great-grandchildren, and brothers, Rev. Dr. Bob E. Pettit of Spartanburg, SC and Atlee Pettit of Walnut Grove, SC. She was predeceased by a grandson, Brandon Scott Rucker, and siblings, Lukevia Smith, Curtis Pettit, Roy Pettit, and Wayne Pettit. Visitation will be held 1:30-2:30 PM Monday, February 22, 2021 at Unity Baptist Church, 4240 Walnut Grove Road, Roebuck, SC 29376, with funeral services following at 3:00 PM conducted by The Rev, Bob E. Pettit and The Rev. Steve Sisk. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Baptist Church, PO Box 156, Enoree, SC 29335.
