Lillie Hatchette

Lillie Belle Brown Hatchette, 92, of Mason Manor, Boiling Springs, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Born April 23, 1923, in Beaumont, she was the daughter of the late Ira Oscar Brown and Annie Marie Bonner Cash Brown and widow of the late Wister W. Hatchette. Mrs. Hatchette was retired from Butte Knit and a Christian of a non-denominational faith. She is survived by her sons, David D. Hatchette, Daniel D. Hatchette (Carolyn); daughter, Mona M. Purvis (Bill); twenty grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. Belle was one of ten children, with two surviving brothers James E. Brown and Harold Dean Brown of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Bradford B. Hatchette; and siblings, George Jefferson Cash, Nellie Cash Whitt, Ida Lucille Cash Lynch, Dick Brown, Ruby Margie Brown Thompson, Betty Jean Brown Holder, and Marlowe Brown. The family is receiving friends from 10:00 to 10:45 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307, with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM in the Chapel conducted by Kelvin Naef. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
