Lillian West

Lillian O'Shields West of Spartanburg passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009. Born September 29, 1922 in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late William Henry and Lannie Blanche Pettit O'Shields and the wife of the late James Everett West, Sr. She was retired from Raycord, Inc. and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, James E. West Jr. of Tacoma, WA and Phil A. West and his wife Deborah of Greenville, SC; a sister, Jean Malone and a brother, William O'Shields both of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Angela Christine Saunders of Simpsonville, SC and James Albert Lee West of Tacoma, WA; a great granddaughter, Catherine Elizabeth Saunders and a great grandson, Jackson Stephen Saunders both of Simpsonville, SC. Visitation will be held at 11:00-11:45 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 Noon, conducted by the Rev. Rufus Chaneyworth. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 350 N. Blackstock Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
