Liam Payne Crowe, 25, left this world on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Born December 2, 1996, he was the son of William Lamar Crowe, Jr., of Kinards and Melinda Brooke Ledford Gibert of Spartanburg.
A 2015 graduate of Spartanburg High School, Liam enjoyed being a member of the tennis team. He attended Daniel Morgan Vocational School and became a skilled welder and went on the attend Spartanburg Methodist College prior to his venturing out into the “real” world. He was a hard worker and explored several varied employments such as apprentice with Rush Heating and Air until finding his last work home and friends at Fuji Film in Greenwood. As a younger boy, he enjoyed many summers at Camp Chatuga in Mountain Rest, SC. Liam was a lover of nature and an avid adventurer at heart.
If Liam was in the room, you noticed him right away. Not just because of his tall, handsome stature but because of his warm, wide smile and the welcoming expression on his face. His dancing eyes hinted of a joke or jolly just around the corner. His jovial spirit was infectious and anyone that truly knew him, knew he had a huge heart. He always showed up for his family and in photos is often seen with one arm wrapped around his little sister, Turner Grace Crowe. He never knew a stranger and certainly enjoyed a good laugh. Liam loved family and friends fiercely and deeply. We take comfort in knowing that he is at peace.
Like a perfect wave cresting on the ocean, he rolled into our lives with beautiful force and receded with a gentle whisper. The perfect wave is extraordinary but fleeting. Liam’s loving spirit is ever loved, ever present.
Survivors along with his parents are stepfather, Jay Gibert and stepmother, Callie Crowe; sisters, Turner Grace Crowe and Caitlin Ronan, both of Spartanburg; maternal grandparents, Linda Turner and Myron H. Patterson; paternal grandmother, Emma Jane Payne and the late William Lamar Crowe, Sr.; aunts, Shannon Byers, Mary Pat Boren, Kim Gatenbein, Leslie Grell, Laura Baley, Cathy Frost, Julie Minter and Jane Wilson and an uncle, John Crowe. Liam was in a loving relationship with Ana Cruz and her family, who loved him very much.
