Lezlee Coleman Gilstrap, 67, of Spartanburg, SC, wife of Wayne Gilstrap, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born November 17, 1948, in Shelby, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ella Cantrell Coleman and Howard David Coleman. Lezlee received her Bachelor's Degree from Limestone College and her Master's Degree from the University of South Carolina. She retired from Spartanburg District #7 after 33 years as a 3rd Grade teacher. A member of Morningside Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Joy Club at Croft Baptist Church, the South Carolina Education Association, Delta Kappa Gamma, the Red Hat Society, and the President's Advisory Council of Limestone College. In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Matt Gilstrap (Simone) of Dallas, TX, Mark Gilstrap (Patricia) of Mauldin, SC, and Mitchell Gilstrap (Melissa) of Laurens, SC; and grandchildren, Gracin, Peyton, and Audrey; sister, Cheryl Marsh (Wayne) of Charlotte, NC; brother, David Coleman (Allison) of Port Charlotte, FL; aunt, Margaret Crowder and uncle, Eugene Coleman (Leona) of Boyton, VA; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be 12:00-1:45 PM Friday, June 3, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Rick Burnett. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville, SC 29615.
