Lewis Parker

Lewis E. Parker, 94, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Park Place Assisted Living. Born June 2, 1920, in Union, SC, he was the son of the late William Anderson and Virginia Scott Parker, and husband of the late Phoebe Thomas Parker. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Parker was retired from Draper Corporation. He was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church in Spartanburg, former treasurer for Eastern Star Chapter #16, and a member of Masonic Lodge Spartan #70. Survivors include his daughter-in-law, Patsie Parker of Woodruff, SC; two grandchildren, Christina Lanford (Chris) of Spartanburg, SC, and John Thomas Parker, Jr. (Stacy) of Boiling Springs, SC; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, John Thomas Parker, Sr. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 1430 John B. White Sr. Blvd., Spartanburg, SC 29306.
