Lewis Mason

Lewis Charles Mason, 87, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 1, 1929, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Cleveland Dean Mason and Beatrice Harris Mason. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Mason was the founder, owner, and operator of Mason Motors, Inc. He was also a Shriner and member of Lone Oak Masonic Lodge #372 AFM. Survivors include his wife, Yleana Parravicini Mason; children, Frank Mason (Debbie) of Ashland, VA, Allen Mason (Beth) of Inman, SC, Steve Mason of Boiling Springs, SC, and Debbie Boulware (Bobby) of Inman, SC; grandchildren, Charna Henson and Justin Mason, both of Boiling Springs, SC, Christy Alexander (Ray) of Raleigh, NC, Dylan Snyder (Ginni-Mae) of Columbus, NC, Michael Davidson of Spartanburg, SC, and Miles Mason of Ashland, VA; great-grandchildren, Bryson Tyson , Jacob Mason, and Lance Mason, all of Boiling Springs, SC, Cooper Snyder and Elijah Snyder, both of Columbus, NC, Michaela Davidson and Savannah Davidson, both of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Louise Fowler (Bill) of Greer, SC; step-children, John M. Seymour of Atlanta, GA and Angel Betsill (Darrell) of Moore, SC; and step-granddaughter, Kristen Marshal of Burlington, NC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Beulah Mason; daughter, Sheila Mason Barnett; granddaughter, Shara Mason; and brothers, Alvin Mason and Harold Mason. Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, 4161 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, by the Rev. David Carter. Military rites by American Legion Post 200 and the committal ceremony will be held at the Chapel. Burial will be private. Honorary escort will be employees of Mason Motors, Inc.
