Lewis Horton

Lewis Erwin “Herb” Horton, 70, of Inman, SC died Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Born February 27, 1952, in Spartanburg, SC, to the late Harley Pryor and Martha Helen Rhinehart Horton, and was husband to the late Patricia Ann Golt.

Herb left a legacy, through Horton Construction, of building many homes in Inman and Boiling Springs. He was a very respectful man and a man of few words, but you always knew what he was thinking.

Survivors include his daughter, Christie Horton O’Brien (John) of Arkansas; sons, Brian Scott Horton of Spartanburg and Daniel Lewis Horton (Marissa) of Inman; grandchildren, Logan O’Brien of Colorado, Brittney Cole of Spartanburg, and Casey Horton, Alyssa Horton, Weston “Colson” Horton and Kane W. Horton, all of Inman; great-grandchildren, Laiklyn Cole and Liam Cole; and sisters, Hazel McBee of Cowpens and Patricia Brown (Wayne) of Inman.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the graveside in Good Shepherd Memorial Park, 4164 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 AM, conducted by The Rev. David Lancaster.
