Lewis Campbell

Lewis Marshall Campbell, 86, of Pauline, SC, died Monday, May 20, 2013, at his home. Born September 20, 1926, in Inman, SC, he was the son of the late Crawford Lee and Ida Lockhart Campbell and husband of the late Dorma Lowe Campbell. A U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Campbell was a member of Morningside Baptist Church where he was on the Board of Deacons for many years, and a member of the Contemporary Men's Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Lion's Club for 32 years, a longtime member of Roebuck Masonic Lodge #357, and attended Clemson Military Academy for two years. He retired from Frito Lay Company and was the former owner/operator of C&S Greenhouse. Surviving are his daughter, Marsha Campbell Strickland (Johnny) of the home; granddaughter, Allison Justice (Kris) of Pauline, SC; grandsons, Taylor Strickland, Bryson Justice, and Brantley Justice, all of Pauline, SC; brother, DeFoix Campbell of Inman, SC; and sister, Sadie Jean Bishop of Boiling Springs, SC. A graveside service with military rites by the SC State Guard Honors Team will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery, by the Rev. Dr. Kirk H. Neely and the Rev. Dr. Bert Strange. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
