Leola Genobles

Leola Bennett Morris Genobles, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Valley Falls Terrace. Born December 30, 1925, in Cherry Grove, Pendleton County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Darlie and Mary Elizabeth Nelson Bennett and widow of James Cleveland Genobles. Leola was raised from the age of 2 ½ years old by Wade and Mamie Morris of Cass, WV. She was formerly employed with Clifton Manufacturing Company, Prima Knit, and owner of Genobles Mobile Home Park. She was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Randy Genobles, and his wife Debbie; daughters-in-law, Rene Genobles and Debra Genobles Brannon; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Dennis D. Genobles and Jerry W. Genobles; a great-grandson, Henry Fisher Myers; 5 sisters and 1 brother. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 5, 2017, in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Kenneth Cash. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 110 Dillon Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307; and Ronald McDonald House, 81 Gadsden Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
