Leo West

Leo Hatchette West, 88, of Spartanburg, SC died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Skylyn Place. Born September 10, 1922 in Moore, SC, he was the son of the late Horace Greeley and Maude Lanford West and husband of the late Lillian Chandler West. He was retired from INA Bearing Company, a member of Cleveland Park Bible Church, a U.S. Army Veteran and a Bronze Star recipient. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Michael West, and three brothers, Horace Palmer West, Roy West, and Joe West. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Ken Casillas and Mr. Ken West. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cleveland Park Bible Church, 711 Asheville Hwy., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
