Lemerle Oliver

Buford LeMerle Oliver, 82, of Campobello, SC, died Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Upstate Community Hospice Home. Born February 21, 1940 in Union, SC, he was the son of the late Buford Thomas and Beatrice Martin Oliver.

Mr. Oliver was retired from Spartan Mills after many years of service, then became a Heating and Air Conditioning man. He was a “Mr. Fixit” with anything. A selfless man who would help anyone in need, LeMerle was devoted to all of his family and friends. He loved his yard and gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Aleatha Ann Alverson Oliver of the home; their children, Debra Kay Deal of Landrum, SC, Patricia Culbreth of Campobello, SC, Michael Oliver of Gaffney, SC, Kim Green of Campobello, SC, and Angela Shumpert of Anderson, SC, Kristen Harrell of Campobello, SC, and Robbie Green of Campobello, SC; 10 grandchildren: Amy, Josh, Amber, Meredith, Gary, Ashley, Dylan, Evan, Caden and Tamra; 11 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Barbara Corn and Tommy Oliver. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, James Oliver and Geraldine Pruitt.

Graveside service will be 4:00 pm Friday, September 16, 2022 in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy. 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316, conducted by The Rev. Rhoden Landon. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
