Lela Lucile Frasher French, 91, of Spartanburg, died Friday, December 2, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born September 15, 1920, in Windsor, MO, she was the daughter of the late Bert H. and Lillian Rachel Petty Frasher, and wife of the late Kenard Joseph French. Mrs. French was retired from the SC Employment Commission for Unemployment Insurance and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survivors include her brother, Kenneth E. Frasher of Greenville; sister, Irma V. Murphy of Fort Collins, CO; nieces, Kathy Jolley of Forest City, NC, Allyson Murphy of Denver, CO, Rachele Strauser of Cheyenne, WY, and Robbie Ann Frasher of Crouse, NC; nephews, Spencer Frasher of Quartzide, AZ, and Willie Frasher of Simpsonville, SC; several great nieces and nephews; and several great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Kenard Bert French; brothers, Ivan, Robert, and Lee Frasher. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Saturday, December 10, 2011, at St. Paul United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, in the church, conducted by the Rev. Frank E. Lybrand. Entombment will be in Bush River Memorial Gardens, Garden of Memories Chapel Mausoleum, Columbia, SC.
