Lawrence Teaster

Lawrence Everette Teaster, 85, of Pacolet, SC, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at White Oak Manor-Spartanburg. Born March 27, 1931, in Pacolet, SC, he was the son of the late Otis and Nettie Reynolds Teaster. Mr. Teaster loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Brown's Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Pacolet Mills. Survivors include his wife, Annie Gayle Thornton Teaster; children, Susan Smith (Larry), Robbie Teaster (Rhonda), Jason Teaster (Amanda), and Beth Teaster Lee, all of Pacolet, SC; grandchildren, Monte Lee (Eryn), Kurt Smith (Rena), Cole Teaster, Andrew Teaster, Terry Teaster, and Katie Lee Koven (Mark); great-grandchildren, Matie, Shelby, Blair, Alexa, Hunter, Alli, Kaylee, Taylan, and Iris; brothers and sister, Elbert Teaster, Evelyn Crawford, Paul Teaster, Glenn Teaster, and Howard Teaster; and longtime special friend, James Horne. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Carl Teaster, Clyde Teaster, and Lloyd Teaster. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2016, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Brown's Chapel Baptist Church, 350 Green St., Pacolet, SC 29372, by the Rev. Ralph Jett. Entombment will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
