Lawrence Smith

Lawrence Jimmy Smith, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his home. Born January 30, 1936 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Floyd J. Smith and Cora Cartee Smith, and widower of Marilyn Geraldine Odom Smith. Mr. Smith worked in the maintenance department of District 7 schools and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughter, Pam Smith; grandchildren, Jeremey Smith, Jonathan Smith, Alexis Smith, Ethan Gore, Patrick Smith and Holli Stewart; great-grandsons, Koyden Smith and Kamden Smith and daughter-in-law, Susan Smith; all of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, Brian Smith. A cryptside service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, December 26, 2016, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev.
