Lawrence Loving

Gene Loving, 81, of Pacolet, SC, died Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at Gaffney Medical Center. Born November 29, 1932, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Guy and Mary Fleming Loving. A U. S. Navy veteran, Mr. Loving was retired from Kohler and was active with Pacolet Fire and Rescue. He enjoyed bowling, sports events, was a Gamecock fan, an avid reader, and of the Christian faith. Survivors include many cousins and family members that loved him very much. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Dennis Loving and Billy Loving. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Sunday, November 30, 2014, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM, in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Terry Lanford. Memorials may be made to Pacolet Fire & Rescue, PO Box 945, Pacolet, SC 29372.
