Laura Deal

Laura E. Deal, 57, of Cowpens, SC passed away Friday, August 13, 2021. Born August 11, 1964 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Gerry Lee Deal.

Laura resided in Cowpens, SC, in a Charles Lea Center group home. She was a graduate of the Charles Lea Center in 1985 and was employed by Workabilities of Spartanburg, contract work for the Charles Lea Center.

Laura was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and of Special Education Sunday School Class at Bethel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her mother, Betty Hendrix Deal, her brother, G. Scott Deal and his children, Kendall S. Deal, Alexis K. Deal, all of Spartanburg, and Kelli R. Stillel and family of Lyman, SC, her sister, Holly D. Crain (D. Andrew), their children, Jared A. Crain, C. Ashlyn Crain, and Laurel A. Crain, all of Maryville, TN, and Tish P. Phillips, mother of Kelli, Kendal and Alexis.

Visitation will be 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Second Presbyterian Church Sanctuary, 438 N. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. at the church, conducted by The Rev. Jason Moore. Private burial will follow.
