Larue Dill

LaRue Austin Dill, 83, of Spartanburg, SC, died Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at her home. Born May 8, 1939 in Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Farr Austin and Sara Trantham Austin Belue.

LaRue was a medical secretary with Wallace, Wilson and Brailsford Medical Office. She was a member of Ben Avon Baptist Church. She loved Clemson Football, babysitting, raising children, camping, boating, music, and the beach.

Survivors include her husband, Giles Edward “Eddie” Dill of the home; their children, Perrin E. Dill (Denice) of Pauline, SC and Angela Dill Owen (Marty) of Chapin, SC; four grandchildren, Dylan Dill (Miranda), Nicole Ledford (David), Madison Owen, and Erin Owen; one great grandchild, Laiken Dill; and cat, Blue Boy. She was predeceased by her brothers, William Austin and Carrol Austin.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2023 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Bill Thompson. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
