Larue Brady

Larue Thompson Brady, "Nanny", 95, of Fairforest, SC died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Windsor House. Born January 25, 1922 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Thompson, Sr. and Sally Townsend Thompson and the widow of Jesse William Brady. Larue was the oldest member of Fairforest Baptist Church where she was a longtime Sunday School teacher and choir member. Her love of family kept her at home as a homemaker. Survivors include daughters, Joyce B. (Edward) Westbrook and Dianne Allison of Fairforest, SC; son, Ronny Brady (Becky) of Fairforest, SC; seven grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Thelma Brady of Spartanburg, SC. She was also predeceased by two sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be 1:00 - 2:45 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Fairforest Baptist Church, 115 Church Street, Fairforest, SC 29301. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM at the church, conducted by the Rev. Brent Dowis, the Rev. Monty King, the Rev. Dr. James C. Hilton, and the Rev. Joe Dempsey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the home of Joyce and Edward Westbrook.
