Larry Williams

Larry Eugene Williams, 66, of Charlotte, NC, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Levine & Dickson Hospice, Charlotte, NC. Born June 14, 1948, in Johnson City, TN and reared in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Delma Edwards Williams of Spartanburg, SC and the late Chad Williams. A graduate of Spartanburg High School, Mr. Williams attended Spartanburg Methodist College, and was a veteran of the SC Army Reserve National Guard. He was a member of Steele Creek Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, NC, and was formerly employed with Members Only Clothing and Land Rover. In addition to his mother, survivors include his beloved wife, Patricia Mason Williams; his children and their families: Angela Williams Quinn (Tony) of Charlotte, NC, grandsons, T. J. Quinn, Coast Guard, of Portsmouth, VA and Drew Quinn of Charlotte, NC; and daughter, Jennifer Williams Reynolds (Jason), grandchildren, Keegan Reynolds, Kyleigh Reynolds, Keller Reynolds, and Kenzie Reynolds, all of Barnegat, NJ; brothers, Allan Williams and Gary Williams, both of Spartanburg, SC, and Morris Williams of Inman, SC. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 30, 2015, at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. Jeff Pinkston. Visitation will follow in the church Fellowship Hall. Visitation will be 1:00-2:15 PM Friday, May 1, 2015, in the sanctuary at Eastside Baptist Church, 1850 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, 7407 Steele Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28217. The family is at the home.
