Larry Jones

Phillip Larry Jones, 58, of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at his home. Born August 6, 1954, in Cowpens, SC, he was the son of Betty Smalley Brigman of Cowpens, SC, and the late George Arthur Jones. A veteran of the U. S. Army, Larry was also a member of Beaumont Baptist Church, a volunteer fireman and paramedic with Whitney Fire Department & Rescue 2 for 17 years, a 32nd Mason and member of St. John's Masonic Lodge #333 in Spartanburg. He was also a truck driver for 12 years. In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Laura Ann Price Jones; daughters, Heather Cauthen of Missouri, Melissa Gilbert of Spartanburg, SC, Pamela Marcano of Ft. Eustis, VA, and Danielle Jones of Spartanburg, SC; 8 grandchildren; and sisters, Kathy Jones and Debra Woodward, both of Cowpens, SC. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, February 22, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Private services will be conducted by Mr. Don Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaumont Baptist Church, 945 Beaumont Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
