Larry Horne

Larry Edward Horne, 70, of Pacolet, SC, died Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born January 25, 1946, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Buel and Mary Louise Tessnear Horne. Mr. Horne enjoyed coaching baseball and football with his grandchildren and he also loved the game of golf. He retired from Musgrove Mills in Gaffney, SC and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Blackwell Horne; children, Crystal Horne, Monica Robertson (Buddy), Eugene Horne, and Chris Horne (Tammy); grandchildren, Nikki Horne, Megan Millwood, Devin Horne, Bryson Horne, Karyssa Poole, Caroline Horne, Christen Horne, Chandler Horne, Alexis Horne, Tyler Robertson, Breanna Robertson, Kayla Robertson, and Kaden Robertson; and four great-grandchildren, all of Pacolet, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Horne. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Dr., Pacolet, SC 29372. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, by the Rev. Dennis Tessnear. Burial will be in Pacolet First Baptist Church, 310 West Main Street, Pacolet, SC 29372. The family is at the home of Betty Horne.
