Larry Hatchette, Jr.

Larry Lanning Hatchette, Jr., 54, of Spartanburg, SC and Otto, NC went peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Larry was born July 27, 1961, in Laurens, SC to Betty Hatchette Fagan of Inman, SC and the late Larry Lanning Hatchette, Sr. Larry attended the University of South Carolina and Trident Technical College and graduated with an accounting degree. He was self-employed at Greg's Tire & Service Center in Otto, NC. Larry enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to spend time near any lake or ocean, but loved North Carolina's mountains the most. His favorite pastime was taking a long drive through the mountains. He also dreamed of traveling in an RV across the United States. Larry was a family man and spent his time surrounded by those he loved. In addition to his mother, Larry is survived by two sisters, Cathy Williams (DJ) of Lexington, SC and Susan Pickens (Jeff) of Boiling Springs, SC; one brother, Timothy Hatchette (Angie) of Inman, SC; the love of his life, Susan Cillo of Sky Valley, GA; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Friday, March 4, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Don Barber of Rabun Gap, GA. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church, 8397 Wolffork Road, Rabun Gap, GA 30568.
