Larry Harris

Larry Dean Harris, 78, of Roebuck, SC, died Monday, April 10, 2017, at his home. Born October 10, 1938, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Samuel Matthew and Catherine Mozel West Harris. A U. S. Army veteran, Mr. Harris was a retired electrician having worked for Barnet Polymer. He was a Mason, a member of Spartanburg #70 Lodge, a Shriner in the Hejaz and The Hillbilly Clan #2, as well as a NASCAR fan, and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Gladys Ruth Graham Harris; sons, Larry Todd Harris and Kevin Dean Harris (Ginger); and grandchildren, William Dean Harris and Allison Michele Harris, all of Roebuck, SC. A graveside service, with military rites by American Legion Post #28, will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 13, 2017, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev. Bill Burnett. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home.
