Larry Wayne Bragg 70, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Born in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Vester and Lorene Bragg, he was a cherished member of the community, remembered for his dedication to family, his love of the Masonic, and his ability to tackle any handyman project that came his way.
Larry was a Past Master of Allen 24 F&AM and a proud member of the Roebuck Masonic Lodge 357 AFM, as well as the Spartanburg York Rite Bodies. His commitment to these organizations exemplified his strong values and belief in service to others. He was married to his late wife, Katherine "Kathy" Pearl Bragg, for ten years, a union that brought him much joy and companionship.
Beyond his professional and fraternal commitments, Larry was a man of many interests. He loved fishing and enjoyed spending time at the beach, particularly in Charleston, a place that held a special significance for him. A devoted fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, he embraced his roots with pride, often reminiscing about times spent cheering for his team. Known as the "Mr. Fix It" of the family, Larry had a knack for repairs and could tackle almost any project with determination and skill.
One of his proudest accomplishments came recently when he was honored with the title of Honorary Colonel by the Governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, a testament to his positive impact on those around him.
Larry is survived by a son; Michael Bragg, a daughter; Sherry Bragg (Heather); granddaughter, Adaline Henson; and his brothers, Donnie Bragg (Vickie) and Ronnie Bragg (Kathy), and a sister; Wanda Joyce Sneed (James). He also leaves behind cherished friends Ken Azzera and Mike Tadros. Larry was predeceased by; his wife Katherine “Kathy” Pearl Bragg, his father Vester Nolan Bragg and his mother Lorene Scott Bragg.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Larry Wayne Bragg, it will be held at the Roebuck Masonic Lodge, located at 4001 South Church Street Ext., Roebuck, SC, on Sunday, October 27, 2024. The service will commence at 6:00 PM, allowing family and friends to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many. The family asks that the dress code is casual and that all Masons wear appropriate attire.
In lieu of flowers the family asks those who wish to honor Larry’s life to make a monetary contribution. 100% of the donations will go to fund his granddaughter Adaline college savings fund.
