Lannis Smith

Lannis Wayne Smith, 69, of Spartanburg, SC died Friday, September 10, 2021 at his home. Born July 4, 1952 in Gaffney, SC he was the son of the late Lannis N. and Betty Jo Medley Smith.

A US Air Force veteran, Lannis was employed by Reeves Brothers and Long Mile Rubber Company. He was a member of Arcadia Baptist Church. He loved sports, gardening, traveling, and going to the beach. He was a handsome man.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Donna Hall Smith, his brother, Sammy Smith, his sisters, Cindy Ames and Linda Liday (David), all of Spartanburg, SC; sister in law, Dianna Rogers (Dan) of Inman, SC, mother in law, Barbara Hall Lee, and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a son, Ryan Smith and a brother, Jerry Smith.

A Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 17, 2021 in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 125 Fort Prince Road, Wellford, SC 29385, conducted by The Rev. Ray Hollifield.
