Kris Weaver

Kris Randall Weaver, 56, of Roebuck, SC, died Sunday, January 12, 2014, at his home. Born December 6, 1957, in Rockingham, NC, he was the son of Rev. Jack D. Weaver and "Rita" McCarley Weaver of Spartanburg. Kris attended USC Upstate, was a member of the golf team, and a certified golf instructor. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Taylor Marie Weaver, of Roebuck, SC, and her mother, Michelle Hyatt; his beloved dog, Shelley; sisters, Cheryl Weaver Yurko (Dr. John Yurko) of Moorehead City, NC, and Deborah Weaver Caldwell of Greensboro, NC; nieces and nephews, Allison Frk (Bret), Wes Stamey (Kathryn), Emily Wade, and Chad Caldwell; numerous cousins; aunts and uncles, Mary and Wallace Jones of Anderson, SC. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Dr. Charles Caldwell. Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 PM Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Robert Emory and the Rev. Joe Dempsey, with a eulogy by Taylor Weaver. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of his parents, Rev. & Mrs. Jack D. Weaver.
