Kevin Wells Fain, 35, of Lexington, SC, died on Monday, January 28, 2013, following a short battle with cancer. Born October 28, 1977, in Hampton, VA, he was the son of Maxwell Nicholas and Ann Wells Fain of Spartanburg, SC. Kevin was a member of Pisgah Lutheran Church where he also sang in the choir. A graduate of Spartanburg Day School and USC-Upstate, he was past president of the Lexington County Arts Association, and was honored with an award from LCAA for the many contributions, time, and talents he shared. He also loved karaoke, his dogs, friends, and hunting. In addition to his parents, he is survived by Jon Fields of the residence; sister, Beth Affolter (Lu) of Nashville, TN; brother, Max Fain (Monica) of Boiling Springs, SC; niece, Tinsley Fain of Boiling Springs, SC; nephews, Shawn, Alec, and Brian Affolter of Nashville, TN; Parker and Peyton Fain of Boiling Springs, SC; and an aunt, Pam Oliver of Asheville, NC. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Thursday, January 31, 2013, at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, Spartanburg, SC, conducted by the Rev. Joseph Smith. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Little Theatre, 200 E. St. John Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; Pisgah Lutheran church, 1350 Pisgah Church Road, Lexington, SC 29072; or St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 400 Dupre Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
