Kenneth Morris

Kenneth Ray Morris, 58, of Tryon, NC, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Columbus, NC. Born January 17, 1954, in Dearborn, MI, he was the son of the late Carl and Frieda Anderton Morris. A U. S. Army veteran, Sergeant Morris served in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. He was former Vice President of Operations for Ceradyne, Inc., attended San Diego State University, Santa Barbara Community College, and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his loving wife, Robin Lynn Troudt Morris; daughter, Kathryn Marie Morris of the home; sons, Kenneth Thomas Morris, Jr. of Lumberton, TX, and Keith Henry Morris of the home; brother, Keith Allen Morris and wife Frances of Stockbridge, GA; aunt, Judy A. Mize of Smyrna, TN; and niece Rhonda Kavanagh of Severna Park, MD. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 PM Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Floyd's Boiling Springs Chapel, by the Rev. Andy Case.
