Kenneth Mcelhannon

Kenneth Howard McElhannon, 67, of Duncan, died Monday, August 16, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born November 22, 1942 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur and Laura Malone McElhannon. He retired after 31 years of service with General Electric where he was a member of the Fire Brigade and a recipient of numerous service awards. He was an avid fisherman and was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Margaret Martin McElhannon; a son, Darryl McElhannon (Leann) of Burlington, NC; two daughters, Sheila Reynolds (Jeff Horton) of Spartanburg and Kathy McAbee of Duncan; four granddaughters, Nikki Peace of Lyman, Laura Reynolds of Spartanburg, Brooke McElhannon of Burlington, NC, and Taylor Garren of Duncan; and four grandsons, Joshua Johnson of Spartanburg, Aury and Connor McElhannon of Burlington, NC, and Memphis McAbee of Duncan. He was predeceased by a brother, Bobby McElhannon. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM Friday, August 20, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Clarence Thomas and Mr. Darryl McElhannon. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex.
