Kenneth Ray (Ken) Bradley, 78, of Pauline, died Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Pelham Medical Center. He was born on May 19, 1945, in Spartanburg, a son of the late Arthur (Ott) S. and Louise Towery Bradley.
He was a Furman Scholar with a master's degree from Appalachian State University. He was a lifetime educator having taught at Lincoln High School, Dorman High School, and Orangeburg-Wilkins High School. As an adjunct professor, he taught at USC Upstate, Spartanburg Community College, Greenville Technical College, Winthrop Upper College, and Spartanburg Methodist College and was a former president of SCEA. He spent a summer in Israel and Egypt with a group from Emory University and Old Dominion to study those countries. He was ten days shy of his 79th birthday, and loved history, cooking, Public Broadcasting, books, and movies.
Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Martha McClellan Bradley; daughter, Laura Elizabeth Bradley.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum conducted by the Rev. William McClellan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
