Ken Lancaster, 62, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at his home. Born November 24, 1947, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Alice Charles Lancaster of Spartanburg and the late Paul Cecil Lancaster. He retired as a Captain with the SC Highway Patrol with over 30 years of service. He was a member of the South Carolina Troopers Association and of the Baptist faith. Surviving in addition to his mother is a son, Col. Kenny Lancaster (S.C. Highway Patrol) and his wife Beth of Irmo; three grandchildren, Rachel Hursey, Jana Lancaster, and Tyler Lancaster; and a great-grandson, Kenneth Christopher Hursey. Visitation will be 11:00-12:45 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2010, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Eric Skidmore. Burial with honors from the SC Highway Patrol Honors Guard will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
