Ken Galpin

Kenneth "Ken" F. Galpin, 80, of Spartanburg, died Monday, May 17, 2010, at his home. Born December 10, 1929, in Jefferson, OH, he was the son of the late Alfred B. and Millie Lemponen Galpin and the husband of the late Karen Louise Roberts Galpin. He was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 28, a retired Teamster and member of Local 436 and 377, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include three step-sons, David Strickland, Jr. of Ashtabula, OH, Bobby Strickland of Cortland, OH, and Stanley Strickland of Warren, OH; and five grandchildren, Stacy Strickland, Stanley Strickland, Jr., Brook Strickland, Jarred Strickland, and Andrea Strickland. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Lamb of God Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. John R. Rickert.
