March 14, 1958 — March 10, 2012

Kelly Jane Felmet Long, 53, of Drayton, passed away suddenly, Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born March 14, 1958, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of Jane Bolding Crook of Spartanburg and the late Rev. Joseph E. Crook Sr. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, the University of South Carolina, and Converse College where she received her Masters Degree. She went on to teach school in Charleston, Greenville, and Spartanburg. Kelly loved to travel and teach, she also loved animals and the outdoors. She had a generous spirit toward all and made us better for having known her. In addition to her mother, survivors include one sister, Kela Goodman (Mark); two brothers, Kip Felmet (Cathy) and Kris Felmet (Rebecca); four nephews, Jacob and Mark Goodman, Caleb and Ethan Felmet; and four nieces, Jillian G. Richey, Anna, Eva, and Emma Felmet. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Thursday, March 15, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at her mother's home.
