Kay Mason

Kay Chaffin Mason, 80, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born March 21, 1941 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Lois Marie Wyatt Chaffin.

Kay was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and was retired from Milliken and Co. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Valley Falls.

A loving mother, grandmother, and wife, Kay loved spending time with her family. She was devoted to her husband of 62 years. Her kind heart led her to always helping others. She loved her Lord, listening to her favorite hymns, and reading her Bible daily.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Bobby Gene Mason, her daughters, Cindy Mason Rogers and her husband, John M. Rogers and Sherry Mason Locke and her husband, Michael, grandchild, Owen Rogers, her siblings, Lib Corbin, James “Jimmy” Chaffin, Mike Chaffin, Nancy Taylor, and Gail Mason.

Visitation will be 1:30 PM Monday, November 15, 2021 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM in the cemetery, conducted by The Rev. Dr. Michael Bradley.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Valley Falls, 8352 Valley Falls Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
