Geraldine Thompson, 75, of 392 Ridgecrest Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, after an ongoing battle with cancer. She was at home under the care of family and hospice. Born December 12, 1934 in Glendale, SC, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Louise Reece Walden and the widow of Ray H. Thompson. She retired in 1997 from Mayfair Mills, Arcadia Plant after 34 years of service. Geraldine was a devout Christian and a member of Potters House Christian Ministries. Survivors include a daughter, Rayna K. Biggs and husband Glenn of Spartanburg; a son, Dennis Thompson and wife Sheila of Moore; a sister, Bobbie K. Thompson of Fairforest; four grandchildren, Larena Gilfillan, Brian Briggs, Chad Thompson, and Hannah Thompson; four great-grandchildren, Justin, Angelica, Anslee, and Jackson. She was predeceased by a brother, Wilburn Reece. Visitation will be 12:00-1:30 PM Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by Pastor Jose Ortiz and Pastor Rex Keaton.
