Kathryn Farley

Kathryn Margaret "Peg" Farley, 92, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, August 9, 2014. Born on October 5, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Leo Guy Boles and Martha Karla Boles. Mrs. Farley graduated from Syracuse University with an AB in Biology and did research in Penicillin with Bristol-Myers in Syracuse before her call to motherhood. She belonged to P.E.O. She was an avid tennis player, and golfer. Survivors are her daughter, Kristen F. (Bruce) Johnson, of Inman, SC; granddaughter, Caitlin Farley of Atlanta; grandson, Bryan Farley; of Atlanta, GA; and daughter-in-law, Jackie Farley of Atlanta, GA. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Frank Giles Farley, and her son, Steven B. Farley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.
