Kathryn Caldwell

Kathryn Morris Caldwell, 93, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, September 18, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born August 12, 1918, in Atlanta, GA, and reared in Spartanburg, she was daughter of the late Marion Amos and Margaret Byrd Simpson Morris, and wife of the late DeFoix F. Caldwell. Mrs. Caldwell was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She was also a member of numerous garden clubs in Spartanburg and Columbia, and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross Blood Bank in Columbia. Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Caldwell of Spartanburg; her son, Michael Caldwell and wife Lorna of Milladore, WI; and two grandchildren Padraic Caldwell and Erin Hollander. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David E. Nichols. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 245 S. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306. The family is at the home.
