Kathleen Johnson

Kathleen Spencer Johnson, 89, of Spartanburg, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born April 29, 1920, in Erwin, TN, she was the daughter of the late Frank McMillian and Etta Stephens Spencer and the wife of the late John B. Johnson. A graduate of Spartanburg High School, she was retired from Smith Drugs #1. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Winifred Cavin, and a brother, Charles Spencer, both of Spartanburg; a nephew, Mike Cavin of Greensboro, NC; and a niece, Jean Henderson of Warner Robbins, GA. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, in Sunset Memorial Park conducted by the Rev. Scott Linnerud. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 577 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of her sister, Winifred Cavin, 2370 Avondale Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
