Kathleen Eaker

Kathleen Faye "Tootsie" Cooley Eaker, 84, of 4152 Chesnee Highway, died Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born February 6, 1926 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Young Cooley, Sr. and Lillie Marie Swofford Cooley. She was the owner of Tootsie's Beauty Shop and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, John Edward Eaker; two sons, Johnny Eaker and wife Yuvaree of Mayo and Barry Eaker and wife Regina of Lake Blalock; and a brother, A. Y. Cooley, Jr. of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by two sisters, Betty Harris, and Dorothy Evans; and a brother, Harry Cooley. Visitation will be from 2:00-2:45 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum. A cryptside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. conducted by Pastor Chris Gulledge.
