Kathleen Tomlin Crawford, 99, died Friday, April 29, 2011, at Summit Hills. Born October 15, 1911, in Warren, TN, she was a daughter of the late William Limuel and Alma Eldorado McKinstry Tomlin and widow of Clyde Christian Crawford. She taught school in Oklahoma City and Lawton, OK and San Diego, CA. Mrs. Crawford earned a Masters Degree in Education at Oklahoma University and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Fraternity, the National Association of Teachers, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was the oldest member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Survivors include a son, Bob Crawford and wife Nina, and two granddaughters, Megan and Caroline Crawford, all of Moore, SC. She was predeceased by a brother, Vance L. Tomlin, and two sisters, Albrey Tomlin and Marjorie T. Hancock. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, conducted by the Rev. Bill Adams and the Rev. Sal Barone.
