Kathleen Emory Brown, 78, of 850 John B. White Boulevard, formerly of 220 Jack Rabbit Run, Clifton, died Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Windsor House. Born November 15, 1930, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Dollie Willis Emory and the wife of 47 years to the late Loren Hugh Brown. She was a retired dietician at Mary Black Memorial Hospital after 28 years of service. She was a member of Converse Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Steve Brown and his wife Brenda, a daughter-in-law, Connie Brown, a sister, Juanita Johnson, and a sister-in-law, Jo Ann Emory, all of Spartanburg; a special grandson, Jody Brown and his wife Ginger of Gaffney; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Tony Brown; and a brother, Joe Emory. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Converse Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Daniel Godfrey, the Rev. Scott Kierstead, and the Rev. Keith Stephens. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
